Three Days of Learning, Career Exploration, and Building
On October 15th and 16th, participants will be able to join programming in person at UConn Storrs or online. Planned sessions include beginner-friendly introductions to quantum computing and Qiskit, hands-on workshops, technical talks, networking, a career-focused panel, and opportunities to hear from researchers and industry professionals, including an IBM Quantum speaker session.
The event will culminate on Saturday, Oct. 17, with an in-person quantum computing hackathon at UConn Storrs. Participants will work in teams, develop projects and solutions, interact with mentors, and apply the tools and concepts explored during the first two days.
Participation is free, and no prior quantum computing experience is required. Fall Fest is designed to welcome first-time learners while still offering meaningful technical and professional opportunities for participants who already have experience with quantum computing, Qiskit, coursework, projects, or research.
