QuantumCT’s pilot project ecosystem is supported through investments that accelerate innovation, strengthen workforce development, and advance the commercialization of quantum technologies across Connecticut. Through partnerships with leading academic institutions, industry collaborators, entrepreneurs, and community organizations, these funds help translate cutting-edge research into real-world impact.
Use-Inspired Research (UIR) Projects
QuantumCT supports collaborative research projects that bring together faculty from both Yale University and UConn alongside industry partners to address real-world technology challenges. These use-inspired research projects leverage industry-defined problems and market expertise while advancing scientific discovery and practical quantum applications. The program is designed to foster cross-institutional collaboration and accelerate the translation of research into solutions with commercial and societal value.
Use Inspired Research Pilot Grant – Quantum Sensing
Quantum CT’s Use Inspired Research Pilot Grant, funded by the NSF’s Regional Innovation Engine award “Quantum Technologies for Connecticut” (Award #2531869), are designed to accelerate the development of quantum technologies and applications to meet real world needs and to strengthen R&D connections among members of the Quantum CT ecosystem.
