Connecticut hosts quantum conference

Connecticut welcomes two major players in quantum technology — NVIDIA and Quantinuum — for an industry collaboration forum Wednesday

California-based chipmaker NVIDIA recently announced it is building a Boston-based research center to provide technologies to advance quantum computing.

It will join corporate, academic and economic development partners gathering for a panel discussion in New Haven on industry engagement in quantum computing, workforce development and research collaborations.

The organizers say it’s a chance to showcase the technology’s potential in Connecticut’s biotech, pharma, aerospace and defense sectors.

Executives from New Haven’s Quantum Circuits will also present at the forum, as will Albert Green, the new CEO of QuantumCT, the state’s industry and academic partnership that is fostering quantum technology in the state.

Pfizer, RTX Technology Research Center and Travelers are also expected to participate.
